Who We Are -Three Decades of Curating Aotearoa
The Leisure Tours story began in 1992 as Canterbury Leisure Tours, born from a simple mission: to share the hidden trails and alpine majesty of Christchurch and the Canterbury region. Over the last thirty years, our heritage has grown alongside the landscapes we love. What started with iconic day trips. From the TranzAlpine to the whale-filled waters of Kaikoura, we have evolved into a comprehensive, nationwide portfolio of curated journeys spanning both the North and South Islands.
We have spent three decades moving beyond the role of a "transport provider" to become dream facilitators. In the early 2000s, we pioneered fully inclusive multi-day itineraries, and since 2013, we have been the industry-leading specialists for shore excursions, guaranteeing cruise passengers a seamless, boutique return to their ship. Today, Leisure Tours is dedicated to showcasing the authentic soul of New Zealand through intimate, small-group adventures
