Explore a city shaped by heritage and renewal, viewing elegant historic buildings alongside striking modern architecture. Enjoy a peaceful walk through the gardens of Mona Vale, visit the coastal suburb of Sumner for ocean views, and take in sweeping panoramas from the iconic Sign of the Takahe overlooking the Canterbury Plains and Southern Alps. The experience continues at the International Antarctic Centre, where interactive exhibits, an Antarctic storm room, a Hägglund ride, and resident huskies bring New Zealand’s polar connection vividly to life. We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drop you off to the Antarctic Centre just after noon, so you are free to explore the centre at your own pace.

Pick up from your central city accommodation between 8:30-9am.
Travel through the city centre on a guided drive highlighting Christchurch’s architectural mix, where restored heritage buildings sit alongside modern design shaped by the city’s post-earthquake rebuild.
Arrive at Mona Vale, one of Christchurch’s most picturesque heritage estates, and enjoy a gentle stroll through manicured gardens, tranquil waterways, and historic surroundings.
