Travel in comfort from Christchurch to the stunning coastal town of Kaikōura and back, with your day entirely your own. Spend time exploring the township, visiting the fur seal colony, or booking local activities such as whale watching, dolphin swimming, or an albatross encounter independently.

Your day begins with pick-up from your central Christchurch accommodation between 7:00am and 7:45am. Travel north through scenic coastal and rural landscapes to the iconic seaside town of Kaikōura.

Spend the day exploring Kaikōura at your own pace. Visit the fur seal colony at Point Kean, browse the local shops and cafés, or book a whale watching cruise, dolphin swim, or albatross encounter directly with local operators.

Rejoin your coach in the afternoon for the return journey to Christchurch, arriving at approximately 6:30pm with drop-off at a central city location.

Local activities such as whale watching, dolphin swimming, and albatross encounters can be booked directly in Kaikōura (own expense).
Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
