Your day begins with pick-up from your central city Christchurch accommodation between 7:00am and 7:30am. You will be transferred to the Christchurch Railway Station to board the TranzAlpine.
Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains before entering dramatic river valleys and climbing into the Southern Alps. Enjoy panoramic views from the open-air viewing carriage.
Upon arrival at Arthur's Pass village, reconnect with your driver and enjoy time to explore this remote alpine settlement. Take gentle walks through the national park and spot native bird life.
Continue your journey by coach through the national park before returning to Christchurch via Kura Tawhiti / Castle Hill Conservation Area.
Arrive back in Christchurch at approximately 5:30pm.
